Altar Guild 2009

Our altar guild continues with seven faithful members to start this new year.

We are sorry to have Pauline Nicholson resign as an active member but are grateful for her many, many years of faithful service and her continued support.

A big “thank you” to Maegan Bruce for making our new flower chart (which is posted on the bulletin board in the hall. Anyone wishing to give flowers in memory of a loved one or in thanks giving, please put your name on the chart.

We are grateful to Eve Brealey for arranging the flowers these past many years. Since Eve no longer has “Billie’s Bouquet” new arrangements have been made. Flower donors may give their money to the church office and an altar guild member will purchase and arrange the flowers for you – or – you may bring the flowers to the church to be arranged by an altar guild member or you may arrange them yourself. In any case contact between the donor and the altar guild member needs to me made to co-ordinate the procedure. The altar guild members schedule is posted beside the flower chart. There will be no flowers during lent

A new set of altar linens has been lovingly made and given by Dollie Strelaeff. Thank you Dollie!

We are still hoping to see some new members join our altar guild. It is a very special and rewarding contribution to St. John’s.
